It’s our mission to make video game history better. Over these past five years we’ve preserved thousands of artifacts and provided materials to dozens of projects — and we’re just getting started.

Since then, we’ve grown from an entirely volunteer-run operation to three full time employees. 2022 is going to be a big year for us and we can’t wait to share where it takes us. Thank you!

We’ve been highlighting fun stories from video game history on our weekly show, the Video Game History Hour! These past two weeks we took a slight detour to sit down with our new Library Director and also share the story of VGHF’s origins/where we see it going.

A look back at some of our favorite projects

If you haven’t had a chance to check out our blog, we’ve shared some incredible recoveries from video gaming’s past.

Help us keep growing!

We’re so thankful for everyone who supports us, whether financially or just believing in the mission enough to open this email. One of the best ways to help us out is with a recurring monthly donation through Patreon. Even a couple dollars helps!
