Two New Atari 2600 Games
Discovered
Two new Atari 2600 prototypes,
Sky Patrol and Garfield, were dis-
covered at last year’s Classic Gam-
ing Expo.
The Garfield game, once the
subject of an elaborate April Fool’s
joke, was believed to be just vapor-
ware until it turned up at the Expo.
Programmed by Steve Woita of
“Taz” and “Quadrun” fame, the ob-
ject of the game is to rescue what
would appear to be Garfield’s teddy
bear while gulping hamburgers,
dodging flowerpots, and avoiding
the big-tongued Odie.
Imagic’s Sky Patrol has you pi-
lot a WWI Zeppelin through un-
friendly skies in search of your en-
emy.
