Flight simulator video games have existed in one form or another since the 70’s. When referring to flight simulator video games, we are talking about a simulation of a flight environment for non-official flight training and more as a form of entertainment or “edutainment.” Flight simulator video games could involve simulation of commercial flights, military combat, or even spacecraft control.
