In 1985 Sega released the sequel of Pitfall II: The Lost Caverns for the Arcade, which in itself was based upon Activision’s two home console games Pitfall! (1982) and Pitfall II: Lost Caverns (1984) for the Atari 2600. It was a scrolling platformer that also appeared in 1987 for the NES as another line up in the Pitfall series. Well fast forward to today and thanks to Saberman letting us know, we’ve been told that 21bloques has released an adaptation of the Arcade game over to the Amstrad CPC.

Here’s the full details. “A faithful adaptation of the arcade Pitfall II from SEGA (1984), created from scratch for the Amstrad CPC. Accompany Pitfall Harry on a new expedition, where each jump can be the last. Cross swamps, evade snakes, dodge logs and avoid enemy fire as you enter levels full of dangers, platforms and hidden treasures. Inspired by the spirit of the arcade version, this remake maintains the essence of the original. Relive the legendary adventure that marked an era, now in your Amstrad CPC.”
