I do love a good roguelike, it’s one of my favorite genres to play, especially when I’m delving deep into dark dungeons looking for decent loot and avoiding many of the nasties contained within. It was inspired by “Rogue 64” (a c64 game), “RogueCraft” (an Amiga game), and to some extent, Marvel Avengers Alliance (an online game that is now dead). A YouTube rogue-like tutorial series by Lazy Devs Academy about making a game called Porklike, using Pico-8, also highly inspired me too!”.
JUNE UPDATE : The developer has released a new demo, and this is what he has said “Hey all, great news! I’ve updated the free 2 level demo to the latest ROGUEish source code! It still has the current SID tune, but the final version will change that :)”
