Say “bonjour” to my little friend as the demo for the hardboiled cyberpunk shooter adds support for new languages

Philadelphia, PA – June 11, 2025 – While Neon Inferno’s love language is usually spoken through the business end of a hulking magnum, players worldwide can now enjoy the upcoming run-and-gun shooter’s gritty narrative without the need for an expensive hospital stay. Philly area publisher Retroware and New York-based indie studio Zenovia Interactive are excited to announce that the Steam demo has been updated with localizations for multiple languages.

About Neon Inferno: Developed by Zenovia Interactive and published by Retroware, Neon Inferno lets players take on the role of either Angelo or Mariana as they fight for a fledgling crime family striving for power against a corrupt NYPD and other crime syndicates in the war-torn metropolis.

With “Bullet Time,” players can deflect certain projectiles back at enemies they choose–regardless of whether they’re in the foreground or background! With multiple upgrades available to equip between missions, multiple difficulties, including an Arcade Mode, and two-player co-op available, players will be able to tackle their missions however they choose.

Starting today, players can experience Neon Inferno’s brash and bloody bullet ballet in the following languages:

English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Spanish, Spanish (Latin America), Traditional Chinese

The first time platers boot up the demo, they’ll be greeted with this screen:

Choose a language to start! You can also find all available languages in the demo by going into Options > Game > Language:

If you’ve yet to experience the updated demo for Steam Next Fest, you can check it out for yourself here. This early portion showcases Neon Inferno’s fast and furious blend of co-op gunplay, explosive setpieces, and thrilling multi-plane shootouts.

Key Features:

Shoot close, aim far: a dynamic blend of side-scroller and gallery-shooter, where the action takes place in both foreground and background (like playing Contra and Wild Guns at the same time).

Glorious 32-bit Style: A sci-fi cityscape rendered in beautiful pixel art and backed by an evocative soundtrack

Two-Player Co-op: With danger lurking around every street corner, wouldn’t you be better off with a friend?

Satisfying Arcade Challenge: Enjoy a playthrough on an easier mode…or put your skills and resilience to the test with 1-credit-clear arcade mode.

Neon Inferno blazes onto consoles and PC on October 2nd, 2025. In addition to launching digitally on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, the game will receive a simultaneous physical release through Limited Run Games. Wishlist your copy on Steam today.
