Two Highly Collectible Games; Proceeds Benefit 8 Players
CHICAGO, IL – December 13, 2023 – Stern Pinball, Inc. (SPI) announced the auction of two highly collectible pinball games played by Fighting Illini football players during the team’s 2023 season as part of the NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) program. A Foo Fighters Premium and Venom Premium pinball machine were housed in the Liuget Players’ Lounge at the Henry Dale and Betty Smith Performance Football Center at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. During the season, players competed against one another and boasted their pinball prowess on social media as they rose on the leaderboards.
Stern Pinball’s award-winning Foo Fighters Premium pinball game and smash hit Venom Premium pinball game feature the award-winning Insider Connected technology in addition to some additional collectibles for these one-of-kind machines including:
- A numbered plaque (1 of 1)
- Player-autographed translite for each game’s backbox or separate framing
- Autographed official University of Illinois football helmet
- Certificate of Authenticity signed by Stern Pinball’s President and CEO
Proceeds from the auction will benefit eight football players on the 2023 Fighting Illini football team as part of the NIL program, helping to empower student-athletes on and off the field:
