Another ZX Spectrum game worth checking out is the recent release of Jtpl’s fast-paced first-person action game for the classic ZX Spectrum 48K called ‘World of Spells’. A game that the creator says “you can watch in amazement as our silly rubber wonder pumps out a Wolfenstein 3D-like, full 360 freedom of movement action, with >50 frames per bleeding’ second. It simply has to be seen to be believed” To coincide with this news, Saberman has provided a video showing it being played via 48k emulation.
Here’s the latest. “World of Spells is a fast-paced first-person action game for the classic ZX Spectrum 48K. Rescue the princess, battle ghosts and dragons, and experience a kind of 3D adventure that never existed back in the Spectrum’s golden era. Enjoy dynamic gameplay: watch fireballs bounce off mirrors, uncover the mysteries of dragon fire, and ultimately save the kingdom! Visit dungeons, castles, and ice lake. A true treat for every ZX Spectrum enthusiast. First game that really showcases the speed of which ZX Spectrum was capable of. Music by Lee Bee, best musician working on platform. And above all – it is fun to play!”
