In a retro market typically dominated by high concept\ companies advertising their commitment to nostalgia or cheap Chinese knockoffs, 8BitDo operates in a curious middle ground. Very little is known about the history of the company, save that it was founded in Hong Kong in 2013 by a group of gaming enthusiasts, although its actual operations are in Shenzhen.
