Starting about 15 years or so since I’ve had arcade games in my home and really dove into retro gaming, I found out my wife loves Tetris and games that are similar to the classic arcade, NES or other forms of the game.  She used to play it in our home when I had the arcade machine for a couple years, she plays similar games on her tablets and phones and now I introduced her to Maniac Square.

While I can’t find any real information on the history of the game at my usual sources, it doesn’t matter, it’s an awesome game that takes Tetris style gaming a cool new direction that I can play my wife competitively at!  Check what the Arcade Museum has on it at this link: https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10848.

It looks and acts like a Tetris clone it’s got it’s own spin on things making it unique in the genre.  It has elements of Dr. Mario, Tetris and more wrapped up into a cool game that you need to play to understand.  I’m sure I haven’t found all the tricks of the game but we will keep finding them out as we play games together on our iiRcade!
