When it’s announced that a beloved Hollywood classic or television show is getting remade, most of the population groans. You see discourse online about how the previous incarnation of said media was “perfect” or “they’ve finally run out of ideas.” Some fans may be excited to see what a new set of creators DO with this remake, but many will most likely rain negative tweets about it until they see it for themselves. With video games, it’s practically the exact opposite. Gamers love it when their favorite games come out for newer consoles, or when they get rereleased in
cartridge form.
