You know the term “Hardcore Gamer” gets thrown around so much these days. You can walk into your local retail video game chain store and listen to some dork say he’s hardcore because of all the systems he owns, what his gamer score is or whatever epic drop of loot he got last night in World of Warcraft. For me, when you say “Hardcore”, I think of games that get your blood pumping. I’m talking no holds barred, balls to the wall, kick your ass action. When I think hardcore, I think Japanese Bullet Hell Shooters, and this is one that you should check out! So grab a bar of Crunky Crunch Chocolate and come along with me as we check out MushihimeSama Futari on the Xbox 360!

Now when it comes to Bullet Hell Shooters (Or SHMUPS, if you like) no company does them better then Cave. Since 1994 Cave’s been creating excellent shooters like DoDonPachi and even some other non-shooter games like the Nintendo DS game, Princess Debut. Mushihime-Sama Futari (Translated means The Insect Princess: Together) is the sequel to Mushihime-Sama that came out in arcades in 2004 and on the PS2 a year later. Mushihime-Sama Futari came out originally in arcades back in 2006 and then was finally ported to the Xbox 360 in 2009.
