There are a number of retro video games that should receive the treatment that many others have already had; by being turned into online video slot games!

When thinking of retro video games, those that were around when the Nintendo NES and SNES systems were around will know exactly what we mean, as many of the game titles that could be found on those games consoles remain, to this day, as some of the biggest and most nostalgic titles to have ever existed.

Indeed, whilst we continue to check out the best new online slots UK has to offer, we continue to hope that a developer decides to take inspiration and go back in time to revitalise some of this classics!

Super Metroid

Anyone who had an SNES will have likely played the Super Metroid game that was made available on this games console. By following a female protagonist – something that was way ahead of its time for video games and could still be argued to be – players would follow Samus Aran in her quest to find the stolen Metroid that Ridley has taken.

Indeed, the game was initially released in 1994, therefore anyone who would have played it at the time will be of age to go on this adventure in an online slot game and some might argue that there was no better era than the 1990s when it came to games and other forms of entertainment.

Naturally, a developer could use the themes and characters from the original game to create a video slot game, therefore leaving them to just need to focus on the gameplay aspects.

Super Castlevania IV

Initially released in 1991, Konami’s Super Castlevania IV was a huge hit with players that had a SNES. It was such a big hit that it has had several re-releases over time, although it is surprising that it has not come to the online slot world yet. It was so good that some have claimed it is one of the greatest video games of all time.

Players take control of Simon as they go on a quest through 11 levels in the game, something that would be rather easy for developers to replicate in a video slot.

Chrono Trigger

Another title that perhaps falls into the category of being one of the greatest video games of all time, Squaresoft’s Chrono Trigger is a game that needs to have a slot game created. The game, which was released in 1995 has had a re-release as recently as 2011 in the UK, as it was argued to be one of the video games to pave the way for the successful role-playing games (RPGs) that have been created since.

Super Mario World

Last, but by no means least, Super Mario World would be another of the classic NES and SNES video games to have ever been created that we would like to see be turned into an online video slot game.

Despite having been released three decades ago, this title has continually been considered to be one of the greatest of all time, whilst Super Mario and his friends are known throughout the world as one of the most famous characters to have ever been created.
