With RetroStone 2 rediscover your childhood video games! Alone or with friends (up to 4 players)

8bcraft has released the second generation RetroStone on Kickstarter. This enables you to play all your childhood favorite retro games on this portable device.

Retro Gaming is constantly gaining in popularity, especially with the developments of single boards computer (raspberry pi, orange pi…). They enable us to make homemade retro gaming consoles. However, those required lot of knowhow on electronics and DIY. You may have seen “Gameboyzero” projects on internet and understand how difficult assembling one can be! RetroStone 2 is here to bring you the best and most simple retro gaming experience. No soldering, no tinkering, it just works! You can use it to play to over 50 old video game systems: Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Super Nintendo, NES, Megadrive/Genesis, MasterSystem, gamegear, Atari, MaMe and soon. You can have a look here to all the supported systems. In more technical terms they are basically SBC (single board computers) with all the peripheral needed to make a handheld console (screen, speaker, battery…), making it perfect to run Emulation Station/Retropie. The interface is very intuitive, and highly customizable. You can choose between a lot of themes!

Here are some key features:
• HDMI output: you can connect RetroStone to your big TV!
• 3.5” digital LCD 640×480
• 4000 mAh removable battery
• Play up to 4 players!
• By connecting keyboard and mouse we can use it as a Desktop!
