I have been hosting tournaments and gaming challenges for years now, both online and in person for different platforms. They were mainly in the home arcade community which has a strong and easy to use infrastructure built up with ready-made online leaderboards, peer-to-peer online multiplayer. Also having them be easy to understand and interact with systems that make playing within the community was a real blast. This aspect of gaming has been absent from real arcades, or at least not fully realized as of yet, but the minds at Galloping Ghost have been developing an online platform to bring this level of score organization and interaction to the real-world arcade scene. ENTER, AURCADE.

Now, let’s be honest, keeping scores, hosting world records, and holding players to a certain standard is not a new concept; Twin Galaxies did this years ago and the Godfather of Gaming, Walter Day, created the interest….
