It’s been many years, but the Ninja Warriors are getting their opportunity to shine once again on modern platforms. ININ Games and Taito have expanded on the SNES edition of this series and is releasing a new version of the Ninja Warriors on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

The original Ninja Warriors was a side-scrolling action game released in arcades by Taito in 1987 and utilized three screens to present the game in an ultra wide display format. While this game was ported to the PC Engine and Sega CD, it did not have much of a presence on North American consoles. Eventually, Taito released a remake of the game on the Super Nintendo in 1994 and it became a cult favorite of SNES owners. The SNES and Super Famicom versions of this game has significantly increased in value for the past few years and has a regular asking price of over $100.

The Ninja Saviors is now available to pre-order in physical format from Strictly Limited Games and even features a “Tuned Collectors Edition” featuring Metal Chopsticks, a Zuntata Trilogy album, poster and more.

From the moment he touched an Intellivision controller in 1985, Mike knew that he had experienced something incredible in the world of video games that would shape him for the rest of his life. From that point forward, he would make it his mission to experience video games from every console generation going forward. Eventually, he would become obsessed with magazines that wrote about the games he loved, and it would inspire him to start writing about games himself in 1998 for various local media outlets. Always looking for an opportunity to branch out, Mike eventually coded the foundation of a website that would ultimately morph into Gamer Logic Dot Net, an independent video game site that continues to cover modern and classic video game today.
