You can’t discuss PC shooting games in the early 2000’s without mentioning the name Tom Clancy. Tom started his career as a writer in 1984. He is best known for his technically detailed espionage and military- science storylines set during and after the Cold War. Seventeen of his novels have been bestsellers and more than 100 million copies of his books have been sold.

His first book was The Hunt for Red October which translated to a major motion picture and a box office smash. Other novels he created which turned into hit movies were Patriot Games (1987), Clear and Present Danger (1989), and The Sum of All Fears (1991).
