My family moved to US in August 1984 and one and half year later was when I experienced Showbiz Pizza Place for the first time. It had a collection of arcade machines that filled up the entire room that seemed to be as big as a mall. There was Galaga, a game that I knew, but the rest of the games I had never heard of, like Space Invaders, Kangaroo, Q*Bert, Elevator Action, Bubble Bobble and more. Dragon’s Lair especially took a lot of my quarters – it was expensive and awesome. The place was a heaven! It was that magical moment when I fell in love with arcade gaming and promised to myself that someday when I grew up, I would have an arcade in my home, filled with all these games that I love.
