The Game Gear is a handheld that has been getting a ton of extra love these days, but the library for the console is a bit all over the place. For those eager to cool off this Summer with the Sega device, here are five great games you’ve got to play on it.

Royal Stone: This may be the best Game Gear RPG- it’s just a shame no one knows about it and it wasn’t released in the US. You can definitely grab a copy online though.

Mega Man: Another great game modeled after MM IV and V. If you have a Game Gear and don’t own this, you’re crazy.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap: Yes, this game is on Game Gear. It’s one of the best ever and needs to be picked up on every console haha.

Vampire: Master of Darkness: The ultimate Castlevania clone but with a heart all its own. Play it!

Tails Adventure: We love Sonic here, but this is a fun one that deserves a remaster.
