We here at Old School Gamer love our retro games, but now we’re going to hit you with some opinion that may break your heart. Some of the games you remember as being so much fun? Yeah- they’re not. They never were.

Spoiler Warning Ahead:

These Games Aren’t As Good As You Think.’

Here we go. Are you ready?

F-Zero: Away from the killer soundtrack, the only innovative thing in the game is the fact that it’s game over if you destroy your car.

The Legend of Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link: Why did they deviate so much from what made the first game so special?

Any Contra After Contra 3 Alien Wars: This series was amazing and hasn’t been the same in over 30 years.

Any NES Sports Game That’s Not Ice Hockey: Baseball is probably the biggest offender here. Then 10-Yard Fight.

The Original Street Fighter: Most haven’t even played it. If you have- you know it laid the groundwork for the far better SFII, but wasn’t that much fun on its own.
