wGrowing up  in the 1980’s, I collected many things. Baseball Cards, Video Games, Pennies, and more. There was one item that always got me back to the 7-11 by my house. It was Garbage Pail Kids. These “Sticker” cards came with a stick of gum as well.  There were so many different cards in the sets, it made collecting them a mission. This is before internet, before cell phones, before social media. So finding them all and letting friends know was difficult. The best Company that makes these cards made a comeback some years back with all new modern day Garbage Pail Kids, that is how popular and nostalgic these cards are.

Out now from the publisher Iam8bit, you can play these popular character in a video game. Keeping to the companies brand and the era of the Garbage Pail Kids, this game is true 8-bit game that can be played on the original NES. For Modern day gamers, you can download Garbage Pail Kids: Made Mike and the Quest for Stale Gum on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Epic Game Store NOW at GPKGame.com

Featuring four playable characters, six secret-filled levels, and a trading-card system, Garbage Pail Kids: Mad Mike and the Quest for Stale Gum is a throwback to the golden era of 80s gaming. I played this game on the Nintendo Switch and it sure was a lot of fun. It brought me back to my childhood with all the famous characters such as Adam Bomb, Luke Puke, Mad Mike and Patty Putty to name a few.

This is a story based game with side scrolling action.  Each Character possesses a different attack skill. For Example Luke Puke will puke on enemies to kill them, and Adam Bomb will throw little bombs at the enemies. Depending on which character you are playing with, the more powerful there skills are. The game itself is very reminiscent of NES titles.

There are a handful of stages to conquer and can be completed in any order. The big hook is card collecting. Each card contains unique abilities and are focused on various Garbage Pail Kids. Collect them all and you get a neat surprise.
