If you’re looking for a new NES game to try and want one to satisfy your retro gaming needs, then look no further than this latest game sent to us via the nesdev forums, as we have just been told that you can now download Matt Hughson’s new game of ‘MineKart Madness’; an addictive classic coin-op arcade game which isn’t just available for your NES, but it has also been entered into the 2022 NESdev Competition.
Here is what the creator says about this new game entered into the NESdev competition : Minekart Madness is an homage to the simple coin-op games of the 80’s. It takes inspiration from classics such as Donkey Kong and Pac-Man. In Minekart Madness you are a dwarf piloting an out of control minecart! There is no way to stop, only slow down slightly. Navigate the winding tracks, while avoiding hazards and collecting precious gems. But you only have a few minutes; when the clock hits zero it’s game over! So optimize your route, exploit the looping levels, and shoot for that high score!
