Earlier today, ModRetro began its Black Friday sale for the Chromatic and its associated accessories, the first ever for the company. All products associated with the Chromatic, whether it be the unit itself, games or accessories, are marked down 15%. There are currently 19 games available for sale on the ModRetro store, seven of which are rereleases and twelve of which are from modern independent developers, generally working from the Game Boy Studio program.
They normally retail from between $29.99 and $44.99, with the exception of the mutlicart Atari 90s Rewind Collection, which normally retails for $99.99. Under the sale prices, they now cost between $25.49 and $38.24, with the Atari 90s Rewind Collection costing $84.99. For accessories, Porta Pro headphones, available in six colors, normally cost $49.99 and now cost $42.49. The ModRetro Link Cable and Mod Kit are $12.74 down from $14.99, and the ModRetro’s rechargeable battery pack is now $25.49 down from its regular price of $29.99.
The ModRetro units themselves, batteries and ModRetro Tertis included, are $169.99 and $239.99 for the Gorilla and Sapphire units respectively, both highly scratch-resistant, the Sapphire exceptionally so. Normally they cost $199.99 and $299.99. Despite the sale, the minimum free shipping benchmark of $199.99 for ModRetro orders remains the same. The sale will end on midnight December 1st, Pacific Standard Time.
