With so many titles available to play on the iPhone, there’s always a chance there are games you simply just missed out on. Mega addictive hits the likes of “Angry Birds” and “Candy Crush” don’t make it any easier to try new games either.

Check out this list to find out what thumb-crunchers passed you by when they were originally released. From action/RPGs to wrestling games, this list has a little bit of something for everyone, especially if you’re a fan of retro games.

5: Wrestle Revolution: A nifty little wrestling game with a plethora of characters and modes. While the control isn’t perfect, it’s a cool innovation that will spawn future titles. At the same time, it’s definitely cool enough to steal a few hours of your life.

4: Mighty Fin: Great iPhone games are titles that can work on any system and “Mighty Fin” is a prime example. Simple gameplay, coupled with a ton of unlockables make the game an adventure you won’t forget.

3: Allied Star Police: This game can get crazy at times. Although it’s a tad short, the fun, all-out gameplay has a redeeming quality that will continually bring you back. It’s free price tag and excellent music make it an even sounder choice for your attention.

2: Fantasy Conflict: Easily one of the deepest strategy games on a mobile device, ever. The accessible gameplay, silly story and difficult A.I. add a level of polish and shine already shimmering like a diamond. Unlike the majority of games on the iPhone, “Fantasy Conflict” can keep you busy for over 20 hours.

1: Squids: Although it looks much better on the iPad, “Squids” is an Adventure/RPG that will make you care about the characters than any other original iOS game on the market today. For a device that consistently rehashes old titles for port, games like “Squids” prove the platform can churn out wonderful original content.
