Well, if you consider yourself a fan of video game history, you’re familiar with the Sega Saturn. Sega’s fifth generation console, launched in Japan in late 1994 where it did well. Released in the West in the summer of 1995 and did… less well. The Sega Pluto is an upgraded version of the Sega Saturn. It includes both a built-in modem and hard drive module. This means it predates the original Xbox by five years in being the first console in history to do that. Only two known units are in existence. It’s important to understand that the majority of the history of this console has been pieced together from external sources and appears to paint a timeline of events. Though truth be told, we’re simply not sure and we’re guessing what happened. Such moments will be declared accordingly.
